Athens, GA – Bicycle Accident Leads to Injuries on Jackson St
Athens, GA (April 5, 2023) – A bicycle accident caused injuries in one individual in Athens on the evening of Tuesday, April 4.
According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened at 5:03 p.m. on Jackson Street. Police confirmed that a bicyclist was traveling in the area when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The bicycle was left with severe damages.
Several local responders in Athens, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately called to the scene to help those in need. The bicyclist, who has not yet been identified, was injured in the accident. They were treated at the scene by EMS crews, though their current condition is not yet known.
