Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-85 Near Cleveland Ave

Atlanta, GA (September 7, 2021) – At 10:16 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, September 7, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Atlanta.

According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of exit 76, Cleveland Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the accident, all lanes of traffic were blocked for a short period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
