Macon, GA – Man Killed in Fatal House Fire on Brentwood Ave

Macon, GA (October 4, 2021) – At 11 p.m. on Sunday night, October 3, a man was killed in a fatal house fire in Macon.

According to Bibb County officials, the accident happened at 1437 Brentwood Avenue. A fire broke out in the home due to reasons that are not fully known. When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found the home engulfed entirely in smoke and flames. They worked for some time to bring the fire under control.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. A man inside the home, identified as a 52-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital with injuries related to smoke inhalation. He was tragically pronounced dead while there.

The area was blocked for an extended period of time as fire crews worked to bring the fire under control.
