Morgan & Morgan Pledges to Challenge Proposed Class Action Over ‘Botched’ Injury Claims
Morgan & Morgan, which describes itself as the largest injury law firm in the country with offices across most states, is facing scrutiny from a proposed class-action lawsuit. The suit alleges that the firm, founded in Orlando, has mishandled hundreds of cases and operated illegally in Georgia.
According to the complaint, filed on behalf of Deputy Brandon Walker, the firm allegedly failed to comply with Georgia law, which requires entities to be registered with the Georgia Secretary of State to handle civil suits.
Deputy Walker, who was severely injured when his patrol car was rear-ended by a vehicle traveling at 114 mph, had sought help from Morgan & Morgan after the at-fault driver’s insurance company offered him less than $25,000, the policy limit. He was informed that his case would be managed by Morgan & Morgan’s Brunswick office and then by their Savannah team.
